Discovering that their comic personas, Bluntman and Chronic, have been acquired for a film without any compensation for themselves, Jay and Silent Bob set off on a wild journey to Los Angeles. Determined to thwart the movie's success, they hatch a plan to disrupt the filming and reclaim their rightful place in the spotlight.
