To confront his anger, he moves in with Nagatsuki Botan, who offers a contrasting perspective on these supernatural entities. Both belong to a clan dedicated to returning spirits to their realm using divine abilities, yet their encounters with these beings have shaped their views differently: Kunato has lost a loved one to a spirit, while Nagatsuki owes her life to one.
