Lola and the Sea

Just as Lola, an 18-year-old transgender woman, discovers she can finally afford surgery, her mother—her sole financial lifeline—suddenly dies. Honoring her mother’s final wish, Lola reluctantly reunites with her father, with whom she’s been estranged and constantly at odds for two years. Together, they embark on a road trip to the Belgian coast. But as they travel, both begin to suspect the journey’s destination isn’t what either of them imagined.
